By now I'm sure all of you know I love ASICS running shoes. We all find a brand that just GETS US and understands what we need! ASICS is that for me & could be for you too!
I am a neutral shoe runner. I'm flat footed, run predominately on my toes, and my ankles cave in when I run.
With all that being said, when I got fitted for shoes a few years ago because I wanted to attempt to branch out - I was fitted for a competitor brand that was suppose to support my running gait! They felt awesome and comfy for the first few weeks & then BOOM: constant hip and hamstring pain that I just could not get rid of. FOR MONTHS! My last resort was to just buy my older model ASICS Gel Cumulus on Amazon and give them a try again.... Well yes you probably guessed correctly- all my pain and discomfort went away.
So for those who think maybe "running shoes cant really be that important"- THEY ARE.
Although my experience for getting fitted for running shoes went south, I still suggest it for others (especially beginners) who have no idea where to even begin. Buying running shoes can be quite overwhelming for some. I like to think my experience is just one of those skewed outliers on the data screen. Some running shoe stores even offer returns after you've ran in them so I would highly suggest asking about that at whichever running store you choose to get fitted!
Ok so back to the Gel Nimbus 22's. A neutral shoe (yaayy!) & comparable to the Cumulus and GT 2000 8 . I literally switch between the 3 models and have ZERO problems adjusting with each run. They are beyond comfy, true to size, and packed with flyte foam teachnology for both comfort & efficient performance. You can read about my Cumulus 21 & GT 2000 8 reviews on my blog as well!
